Rules and Qualifications
Parent instrument registration begins April 1, 2008 for the 2008-2009 school year at www.firstinstrument.com.
- One registration per serial number per calendar year
- Instruments registered must be in use by the student in the school
or school district selected.
- Maximum three years registration per model/serial number.
Rental instruments used for more than three years may not qualify.
Instruments manufactured before 2003 will not qualify.
- Only Conn-Selmer student instruments qualify. See the complete
list on our website.
- All information is subject to verification of eligibility. Conn-Selmer,
Inc. reserves the exclusive right to reject entries not deemed to be
qualified.
- Points accumulate over the calendar year may be redeemed for
instruments listed through February 28th of the following year.
- Directors or school districts are encouraged to pre-register.
These will be available in a search by state for parents to assign
their points more quickly.
- Once a school or district is registered, points are not transferable.
- Instrument may also be submitted for schools not yet registered.
- Conn-Selmer will collect these points and endeavor to contact the
school’s instrumental music instructors through local school music
dealers. There is no guarantee of point redemptions to schools
not previously registered.
- Program available in the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada.
